Florida Beach Trip October 2014

Out of the blue one day, my good friend Emi's mom sent me a message on Facebook asking me if I wanted to fly out to Florida to visit her as a surprise for her birthday! Sounded like a good idea to me! We found a few days that worked and me and the kids headed off to Florida. I was a little nervous about the flight but it wasn't that bad. We were lucky enough to sit next to a nice girl that helped me entertain the kids, mostly Davis. That child never sits still!! I stood up with him most of the time but there was little screaming so I will consider it a win. We got to Florida late and the kids went right to bed. As my luggage was coming out at baggage claim, my zipper broke and my luggage exploded everywhere, it was awesome. NOT. Emi's parents house is amazing, like its own resort. We stayed in the guest house and had all the space we needed. We spent most days at the pool cuz it was so easy with two babies still taking two naps a day. We would run out to shop while all 4 kids were asleep in the afternoon. We went to the beach one day and its as beautiful. The sand is so soft and so white. Davis ate it by the handful. I've never been to the gulf side so it was so weird to me to have a beach with no waves. Perfect for the kids. We went out to dinner one night at a neat shopping center and the last night we went to downtown Naples and got ice cream and walked around. Brooklyn got sick and threw up twice but it didn't seem to phase her. It was long night for me for sure. It was so relaxing and SO much fun to be with Emi and her family. It was such a great trip and I have been wanting to go back ever since! Being Emi's birthday present has its perks!! It was Halloween the week I was there so we got pictures of the kids in matching pajamas, I love seeing all those kids together!

Davis is only 3 months older but twice the size!
There was a lot of tickling going on!
We had s'more outside one night and these two couldn't stay out of the water.

Halloween 2014

Brooklyn decided she wanted to be a black cat for Halloween and so I decided to make Davis a pumpkin. We went to pick out pumpkins at Chatfield estates which is our favorite tradition. Liza and Brooklyn were determined to find the biggest pumpkin they could. We decided to go to Boo at the Zoo which was pure chaos. There were so many people!! The concept is great but waiting in 20 people deep lines for candy and dodging people the whole time wasn't exactly fun. Not to mention parking a mile away! We went trick or treating with Addy and our cousins. At the Trunk or Treat Davis just sat in the car and played with the bowl of candy. The night of Halloween we went trick or treating around Nana's neighborhood where everyone gives out huge candies. Its insane. Davis was just along for the ride. Brooklyn went with there cousins and Addy and had a blast. She LOVES Halloween!

Gingerbread houses are her favorite christmas activity so when I saw the Halloween one, I had to!

Family Pictures 10/14

Brittni and Oliver Come to Visit 10/14

There were super cheap flights on Frontier one day and I convinced Brittni to come visit. It was a whirlwind couple of days but I love seeing those boys together. We shopped and ate and went to the zoo and just hung out. I love that these boys are the same age and I love that they can grow up together!

Grandma Joan

Me and the kids were headed to Aspen Grove to go to the chocolate store (sees candy). We were walking out of gap and ran into Grandma Joan. She quickly asked us if we wanted to go to lunch. We walked down to Panera where she treated us to lunch. Her and Brooklyn walked hand in hand the entire time. Brooklyn adored her. On the way back she bought both of the kids new pajamas. It was such a great day and I just had to document it. Her and Brooklyn just click and its adorable.

Brooklyn's First Day of Preschool

Do I really have a child old enough for Preschool? I really can't believe it. I was way more upset about it than she was. She marched right in there, gave me a huge hug, said "I love you mom!" and never looked back. After school, the teachers said what a great job she did. I am so proud of this little girl!!

California 8/14 - Grandpa's Funeral

My dad's dad passed away in August and we all went out for the funeral. It was a great celebration of his life and it was great to be with all of our family on that side. The hardest part was seeing my grandma so heartbroken. We spent time at the beach as a family and enjoyed each other's company. We miss you Grandpa!

When asked what flavor she wants, she always says "PINK!"
I loved that now that she is getting older, we can take her out on outings past her bedtime. We wanted to try Sprinkles ice cream and she came with us, it was so great.
We paddle boarded around Balboa and the two little girls fell asleep, it was hilarious.
