This weekend we went to Vegas for the Mountain West Conference Championships. Trevor, being the huge BYU fan can't live without going. We drove down Thursday morning and got there right before the first game then got some In N Out, went to the Rack, and watched a movie and went to bed. we didn't stay on the strip but we got VIP treatment by the Leavitts (Trev's mission companion Dixon's family). They live 15 minutes outside the strip in a gorgeous house and they take us in as their own. Friday we went to the pool all day, got fried, got some baja fresh and were back to watching basketball. we got awesome seats thanks to wade. Then we went to Luv It, a frozen custard place in probably the worst part of the strip, but holy cow it was AMAZING. Trevor is still craving it. Saturday, Trevor played TPC with Dixon and Wade, I saw my friend Whitney and went shopping. Then we went to Geisha's (it's like Benihana's) and then to the strip for some fun. We tried the 16 coke flavors from around the world, avoid the beverly, we all almost threw up! We woke up this morning and headed out. It was the greatest weekend ever and the Leavitts are WAY too good to us. We can't wait for next year!

Pajama-Rama

so....I am in an event planning class at BYU and I am loving it. We are planning an event for March 5th at the kids on the move building in orem. It is going to be an event centered around healthy sleeping habits since it is sleep awareness week!  there are going to be health snacks, crafts, story telling, and a presentation by the chief nutritionist for Doterra, a company specializing in essential oils that help you sleep. I'm super excited and it should be really fun! It's from 6:30-8:30 on March 5th! If anyone wants to come it is free of charge and will be lots of fun!!!

Valentine's Day = 14 hour work day

So, for Valentines Day we decided to work to make money as opposed to spend it because we knew the restaurant would be busy. there was a 4 1/2 hour wait! it was ridiculous! As much as working sucked, I GOT A TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO FOR VALENTINES DAY! I am so excited, it is the best present ever! We are going in April for a long weekend! And tonight we celebrated with a trip to the rack and chipotle, it was perfect. And I made sugar cookies and it was the highlight of my week. Trevor's mom was here and it was a weekend of being spoiled! My poor mom was sick the week before and I felt so bad but I was happy I got to take care of her! San Francisco here I come!

A Weekend With Mom :)

So, this past weekend my mom came to visit. I had been looking forward to this since she told me! She came thursday and stayed up until midnight, it was quite a surprise! then Friday was the greatest mom and daughter day ever! we got up at 10:30 got our nails done, went to lunch, went to the mall, PF Changs, and then rented a movie, got ice cream, and just hung out together! We then went to Logan to see family and hang out. We got there before Trevor and little Avery proceeded to tell me "Trevor is coming, he is such a funny guy, he calls me peanut butter" (long story) and Ally could barely contain herself when she saw him in the driveway. They somehow love him more but thats okay i guess. we had to come home sunday and my mom stayed in Logan and will come back down thursday for another day of fun before she drives home :(. i have decided having my mom come is the highlight of my life, oh how i miss her! Trevors mom comes friday and we will have another weekend of fun!!

TENNIS= OUR OBSESSION

So, needless to say the Tripp family is devastated by the recent Australian Open results. I need my nine hours of sleep so i desperately tried to stay up to watch the 1:30 a.m. matches but when 2 o'clock came around I was out for the count. Little did I know, while I was sleeping Trevor stayed awake until 7:30 in the morning watching the match, only to find that nadal had won. He claimed he couldn't possibly sleep knowing that the match was going on. We love Nadal, don't get me wrong, but Fed is a class act. After he destroyed Andy, who is now a joke, and Nadal played for something like 6 hours with Verdasco (Trev likes his Fo-hawk) we thought Fed could take him. And now that it is all over, what will watch all day long? Wait until the French open, sad day! 

I refuse to let my mom get a facebook, so...here is a blog for her!

Apparently this is the new thing BUT trevor already has a mac blog because anything not mac is of the devil in this house. No one knows about the blog and you cant have friends and stuff so I decided to make one on here. My mom recently has seen her friends getting facebook and I can't let her have one for my own selfish reasons. I almost broke down once but then just couldn't follow through. So, life for the Tripps is awesome. We live in our Provo penthouse :) all 800 square feet of it! We are both in school and can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Trev will basically be done in April but will get his minor well I am finishing up. My Geography major is my new passion and for once I love going to school. The downside- everyday I have a new trip planned which results in hotel researching nightly. Trevor and I have finally come to compromise on my unhealthy travel obsession. He printed off the top 100 golf resorts in the world and will travel to any country that has one of the golf courses on it. Deal. In August we will move back to Denver and couldn't be more excited to get out of Provo. Married life is awesome and we have the time of our lives together. We can't wait for the future!
