Trevor runs the SLC marathon

Last Tuesday night I got home from Georgia, unpacked, washed my clothes, and packed again for our trip to Utah. We drove Wednesday night after work for Trevor's marathon, got a late start and hit stop and go traffic from Denver to Fort Collins. Then in Wyoming, we hit a blizzard. After a LONG night in the car we finally go to Logan- 10 hours later! For how long it took us, the drive actually went by pretty fast. We got to my cousin's house late that night and fell asleep within a minute of laying down. We spent the next day seeing my cousin's adorable little girls and hanging out in our pajamas all day. Trevor and I couldn't remember the last time we got to do that on a weekday. I made him rest his legs for his race that Saturday.

We then drove down to Provo to stay the night so Trevor could golf Friday morning. I forced him to get a cart so he could save his legs and sent him with a Nalgene and strict orders to fill up every 3 holes so he could hydrate- I think I was driving him crazy haha! I got to see two of my best friends Courtney and Jenna that morning and it was such a treat. We then met up with our great friends Tyler and Amber and got to see them and their adorable little girl Ella and newborn baby Cooper. Then we headed to the airport to pick up Trevor's parents and headed to our hotel in SLC. We felt like gypsies that weekend and lived out of our car it seemed. We went to dinner that night and stocked up on bagels and bananas for Trevor and Tausha (she ran the 1/2 marathon).

It was early to bed and early to rise. We all got up at 5:45 and saw Trevor and Tausha off to the race and then hurried into the car to stake out our spots to find them. We saw them both at mile 4, right before the courses split and they looked great. I think they were both sad they had to run alone after that. I then met Trevor's friend Mitch downtown because he was going to run the last 3 miles with Trev. We rushed to mile 18, cheered him on there, got back in the car and raced to mile 23 to wait for him. Mitch hopped in and they ran the rest of the race together. Trevor ran an amazing race and beat his goal time by 10 minutes.

He never ceases to amaze me, I was so proud of him! I'm not sure he will be doing another one anytime soon but he is happy to have checked it off the bucket list! We are running the Denver 1/2 marathon in October! It was such a fun weekend and we loved being able to see family and friends and I had so much fun watching Trevor run, I just love that boy! Congrats Trev! I told him Brooklyn was cheering him on the whole time cuz she was going crazy in my stomach. We can't wait to meet her!
